Podiatrist Eliza Godkin

A life time of sport love led Eliza to her dream job as a Sports Podiatrist. After completing a Human Movement degree where she majored in Sports Science, Eliza undertook a podiatry degree at LaTrobe University graduating with honours. In addition,  Eliza has a Bachelor of Education from Deakin University.
Eliza played club and state level Tennis as a junior, coached Hockey while at Uni, has run 2 marathons and countless half maras, snowboarded on 3 continents, and competed in Amy’s Gran Fondo last September, where her hubby qualified to ride in the UCI Amateur World Championships in Albi this year. To top it all off, Eliza’s youngest son is part of the 4x100m bronze medal winning team from the 2016 State Relay Championships. Sport is a massive part of the Godkin household!
Eliza has completed post- graduate courses in Foot Manipulation Techniques (FMT), Anatomy in Motion (AiM) and Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT). These studies have given Eliza knowledge, skills and treatment options that align with her Human Movement degree, and allow Eliza to look at the body as a whole,  something that is seldom seem within the podiatry profession.  Eliza prides herself on being a Human Movement Practitioner with extensive knowledge of the foot.

Eliza is able to assist in all foot related issues, from nail care to corn and callous removal, as well as foot care for people with Diabetes.  Personal experience with Type 1 Diabetes has greatly influenced Eliza’s knowledge of the condition from both a practitioner’s and patient’s point of view. Eliza prides herself on being up-to-date with current research and trends relating to both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
Since beginning her Podiatry career in 2003,  Eliza has built a solid base of co-referrers, both in the medical field and the allied health field. These trusted relationships serve to ensure the clients of Footpath Podiatry receive the specific care they require.
In addition to clinical work, Eliza consults as a Subject Matter Expert with Cambridge Assessment, assisting to write the English language competency tests for overseas Podiatrists wishing to practice in Australia.
